Emergency commercial drainage · South Wales

Multiple blocked drains cleared and CCTV verified

Three surcharged inspection chambers, multiple obstructions and a busy commercial drainage system restored to full working order in one methodical call-out.

The call-out

Three inspection chambers completely surcharged

Jetforce 24/7 attended an emergency call-out at a commercial premises in South Wales after the customer reported serious drainage problems. On arrival, three inspection chambers were found to be backed up, showing that the issue extended beyond a single local blockage.

To protect the customer's privacy, the premises is not named. The project is shown here to demonstrate the investigation, clearance and verification process used on a real commercial drainage job.

1 · Restore flow

Working from the downstream chamber

We worked methodically from the downstream manhole, clearing the first and primary blockage before progressing through the remaining lines. This allowed backed-up wastewater to release safely and gave us control of the system as each section was cleared.

2 · Full-system jetting

Multiple additional blockages removed

Once the primary restriction was released, each connected drain run was high-pressure jetted. Several further obstructions were cleared along the way, rather than stopping once the first blockage had disappeared.

Continuing through the full network reduced the chance of a nearby restriction causing another immediate call-out.

3 · Clean & sanitise

Solids removed and chambers washed down

After all drain runs were flowing, remaining solids were removed from the inspection chambers. Each chamber was then washed down and sanitised, leaving the system cleaner, easier to inspect and ready to return to normal use.

4 · CCTV verification

Every drain run checked after clearance

The final stage was a camera inspection of the drainage network. This wasn't simply a visual check at the manhole: the camera was passed through the runs to confirm the lines were clear after jetting.
