Surface Water Drainage & Ditch Restoration

An overgrown and restricted drainage channel restored using excavation equipment.

The challenge

Restricted flow through an overgrown ditch

The existing open ditch had become overgrown and filled with vegetation and accumulated material. This reduced the capacity of the channel and limited the route available for surface water.

Overgrown open ditch before clearance
Before: vegetation and accumulated material restricting the channel.

During: the channel being exposed and reshaped.

Our approach

Clearance and reprofiling

Excavation equipment was used to remove obstructing material and restore a defined drainage channel. The ditch was reprofiled to create a practical route for water while working within the available rural access.

The images show genuine work and the condition of the channel after clearance.

The result

A clear surface water route

The restored channel provides a clearer route for surface water and makes future inspection and maintenance easier.
